Manervia was the daughter of Issac Seagraves and Polly Kilby Seagraves. She married Jesse B. Jackson in 1857 in Crawford County, Arkansas, they had ten children. Sometime after 1880 she and her husband J.B. left Arkansas and settled in Brent, OK. where they raised their cildren, farmed and raised horses.
