Funeral services for Charles Burckhalter, 37, who died Thursday in a local hospital after a long illness, will be held a 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon from the Barnwell Baptist church in Barnwell. Dr W M Jones and the Rev Marion Webb will conduct the rites. Interment will be in the churchyard.
A son of the late Charles an d Ada Saunders Burckhalter. Mr Burckhalter was a native of Barnwell and spent most of his life there. Survivor include one brother, James A Burckhalter of Barnwell, and one sister, Mrs Amos C Smith of Easton, Pennsylvania.
