Mrs. Marie Neill Patterson Dover, age 72 of 501 East Hill Drive, died March 20, 2008 at Carolina Specialty Hospital, Charlotte. She was born July 15, 1935 in Gaston County, the daughter of the late William McKinley and Essie Lee Childers Neill. Marie was a member of the Missionary Methodist Church, Cherryville, and formerly employed by Dora Yarn Mill, Burlington Yarn Mill and retiring from Pretty Paper of Cherryville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Eugene Patterson, her husband, George Dover, and a brother, Billy Ray Neill.

Survivors include Sons and daughters-in-law: Wesley Scott and Ronee Patterson, of Waco, William Elton and Cindy Patterson, of
Cherryville, Daughter: Trina Marie Patterson and special friend, Larry Daniels, of Cherryville.

Brothers and Sisters-in-law: Dennis and Jane Neill, Robert and Helen Neal, all of Cherryville, Sisters and brother-in-law: Christine Sellers and the Late Hugh Sellers, Jr., Dorothy and G. D. Lingerfelt, all of Cherryville, Betty and John Whitlow, of Charlotte, Bertha Lee and the Late Odus Lee, of Shelby and 9 Grandchildren 5 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00PM, Saturday March 22, 2008 at Cone Memorial Chapel of Carpenter�s Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Holtsclaw Officiating, burial will follow in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from l:00PM to 2:45PM at the funeral home, prior to the funeral service.
