VAN - Services for Irma Ruth Parmer Browning, 86, Van, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Hilliard Funeral Home, Van, with the Rev. Mike Calhoun officiating.
Burial will be in Tyler Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Browning died July 8, 2008, in Olive Branch, Miss.
Mrs. Browning was born Jan. 29, 1922, in Chandler to the late Nathan and Thelma Nowlin Parmer. She was a longtime resident of Van and a member of Van First Baptist Church. She was co-owner of Browning's Mini Mart for 10 years, and moved to Olive Branch, Miss., two and one-half years ago. She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Gordon Dale Browning Sr.
Survivors include sons, Gordon Browning, Calender Lake, Roger Browning, Beaver Creek, Ohio, and Mike Browning, Olive Branch, Miss.; daughter, Julie Browning, Olive Branch, Miss.; brother, Truman Parmer, Chandler; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
If desired, memorials may be made to the Van Volunteer Fire Department.
