DEATH OF JAS. DOVENBARGER

James Dovenbarger, 79, of Reinersville, passed away suddenly Wednesday morning at the home of his step-daughter, Mrs. Hattie Harmon, where he had been staying for several weeks. Mr. Doverbarger had been ill for the past two weeks with leakage of the heart, and an asthmatic condition, but was able to be about and had been up and around the morning of his death. Coming in from out of doors he sat down in a chair and expired. He had lived for many years near Reinersville. His wife, who passed away 21 years ago, was Miss Elizabeth Barnhart. Surviving are three sons, James, of Dresden; Benjamin, Reinersville; Riley, Hoskinsville; a daughter, Mrs. Edna Knapp, Zanesville, and the step-daughter mentioned, Mrs. Hattie Harmon. The deceased was a member of the Free Methodist Church at Ava. The body was removed to Wheeler's undertaking parlors in Caldwell. Funeral services will be held at the Hoskinsville Church, Friday at 10 a.m., conducted by Rev. Dwight James, with burial in Hoskinsville Cemetery.

HEART TROUBLE AND ASTHMA FATAL TO JAMES DOVENBARGER

James Dovenbarger, well known resident of near Reinersville, died yesterday morning about 6 o'clock from heart trouble. Although death was sudden, he had been in failing health for the past two weeks from heart trouble and asthma. Had he lived until August he would have been 79 years of age.
Mr. Dovenbarger was a son of James M. Dovenbarger and wife.
Mr. Dovenbarger was united in marriage with Miss Elizabeth Barnhart, who died a number of years ago. Surviving are four children, James Dovenbarger, of Dresden; Benjamin, of Reinersville; Riley, of Hoskinsville; and Mrs. Edna Knapp, of Zanesville, and 19 grandchildren. He was a member of the Free Methodist Church at Ava.
Funeral services will be held at the Hoskinsville Church, Friday at 10 a.m., with interment there.
