Mrs. Mable Reed Sutton-Key, 86, of 1005 Kaolin Drive, Phenix City, AL. died May 23, 2008 at Doctors Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, May 29, 2008 at Shiloh Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL. with the Rev. Robert Dickerson officiating. Burial will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be held today from 1 until 8 PM, according to Taylor Funeral Home. Mrs. Sutton-Key was born May 24, 1921 in Chambers County, AL. to the late Tommie Lou Johnson and John Wesley Johnson. She was retired from Opelika Manufacturing Company after over 30 years of service and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Phenix City where she served faithfully in many areas of the church. Those who will cherish her memories are her son, Ret. SFC James T. Sutton (USA); daughter, Mary Gibson; thirteen grandchildren, Kevin (Trudy) Nathan, Lorenzo (Vonkita) Nathan, Min. Sophia (Tony) Taylor, all of Phenix City, AL., Steven (Tisha) Sutton, OK., John Sutton, Buffalo, NY., Angela (Donald) McCoy, Marvin Sutton, CA., Tonya Thomas, Jermaine (Angela) Key, Derrick (Neketra) Key, Shaundra Key, LaKeasha Key, and Drs. Donna (LeDarius) Smith, Atlanta, GA.; a sister, Ruby Johnson; two brothers, John Lewis Johnson, Tommy Johnson of Lafayette, AL.; a devoted daughter in law, Patricia Sutton of Savannah, GA.; eleven great grandchildren; twelve great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
