She was a homemaker and member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church (ELCA), Accident, and the Women of the ELCA. She was a member of the Lutheran Braille Workers and Oakland Chapter 67, Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Catherine McGettigan; husband, Deleon T. Rush; one son, Warren D. Rush; one daughter-in-law, Helen Rush, and was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
Surviving are one son; one daughter; one daughter-in-law; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
