Johnny was a retired boat dock owner and operator of Cherokee Boat Dock in Mooresburg, TN. He was a resident of Knoxville, TN for about 26 years and recently moved back to Lee County, VA., Johnny proudly served in the U.S. Navy on the Coral Sea and Midway Aircraft Carrier during the Korean war. He was of the Baptist Belief. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents, William Ross and Sylvia Turner Agee Sergent, his brother, Samuel David Sergent.
He is survived by his children, Judy Hubbard and husband Jimmy of Bean Station, TN., Jennifer Alsup and husband Larry of Pennington Gap, VA., William Phillip Agee of Pennington Gap, VA., John and Jodi Agee of Indianapolis, IN., Angela Cox and husband Hershell of Indianapolis, IN., Dale Jones and wife Tracey of Indianapolis, IN., (Dale was like a son). Graveside service will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 27, 2008 in the Cecil Fry Cemetery in Pennington. Military Rites will be conducted by the Charles Dewitt Byrd V.F.W. Post #3382 of Kingsport, TN. The family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 10:30 AM to go to the cemetery. Sons, Grandsons and Sons in Law will serve as pallbearers.
