Was in the Albuquerque jail for passing a bad check and died of alcohol related issues. He had also rented a carriage and not returned it and not paid for it's use. Attempts were made to contact family or friends but were unsuccessful. He had one leg, said to have lost the other in a train accident. Had a letter on his person from the United Workmen of Council Grove Kansas, but they had not responded to inquiries.
