Evaleen Marie Brittain Anderson, 79, of Amarillo died Tuesday, April 22, 2008, in Randall County.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Brooks Funeral Directors Chapel with the Rev. La Von Thompson, pastor of Life of Praise Fellowship in Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Evaleen Marie Brittain Anderson was born June 1, 1928, in Wynnewood, Okla., to Charlie and Odell Rives Brittain. She married Raymond C. Anderson on Sept. 20, 1942. They were married 52 years when he passed away July 27, 1994. They were blessed with four children.
Evaleen was a wonderful caregiver for all of her family and friends. She belonged to Life of Praise Fellowship.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles in 1991 and Billie and Danny in 1947; a sister, Bettie, in 1947; a son, Rodger Allen Anderson in 1983; and a great-granddaughter, Kirsten Grace in 2001.
Survivors include three children, Randy Dean Anderson of Muleshoe and Richard Gene Anderson and Gayla Raeleen Anderson Lodholm, both of Amarillo; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one on the way; two sisters, Lynn and Gwen, both of White Deer; many loving nieces, nephews and friends; and a very special friend, Jodie of Muleshoe.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
