Emanuel was my great-great grandfather and was born in Russia.

He was married to Leah (or Pauline) Horowitz, who predeceased him in 1915. They married probably in Russia about 1879. Emanuel and Leah came to the US after a short residence in Whitecastle, England where their daughter Betsy was born in 1880 and son Herman was born in 1883. Emanuel was naturalized in New York in Oct 1886.

Emanuel remarried to Ida Shepshe Hepner in 1916 and then Bessie (or Bertha) after Leah died.
