Services for Edmund Adolph Barabas, 91, of Bartlett were held Thursday, April 10, 2008 at 10 a.m. at SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger with Monsignor John Frizelle officiating. Rosary was recited Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 6 p.m. Intombment was in Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum in Granger. Edmund Barabas was born April 16, 1916 in Bell County, Texas to Joseph Barabas and
Augusta Kunz Barabas. He married Tillie E. Jarolik on October 14, 1940. Mr. Barabas was a retired farmer and had lived his entire life in Bartlett. He was a member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church in Granger and SPJST Lodge #80 in Holland. He was preceded in death by six brothers and four sisters. Survivors include his wife, Tillie Barabas of Bartlett; one daughter, Barbara Voight and husband John of Bartlett; two grandchildren, Mandi Newby and and husband Paul of Bartlett and Ryan Voight; and three great-grandchildren, Chance Newby, Dillon
Newby and Trenton Newby. Pallbearers for the service were Ryan Voight, Paul Newby, Johnny Pospisil, Charles Sirney, Alfred Machala, Louis Machala and Ricky Ramirez. Honorary pallbearers were Chance, Dillon and Trenton Newby. Goodnight Funeral Home of Bartlett was in charge of arrangements.
