MRS. EFFIE MAE THRIFT BARNES, 85, of Macclenny, died at her residence Saturday morning.
She was a life resident of Baker County and Macclenny, a member of Macclenny First United Methodist Church and Leona Knabb Chapter 212 O.E.S., Macclenny.
Surviving are 1 daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Randolph Chisholm; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Elmer L. and Hazel Barnes and Elgin J. and Dorothy Barnes all of Macclenny; 1 brother, Harry Thrift of Jacksonville; 8 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held in Macclenny First United Methodist Church at 2 pm. Tuesday with Reverends Henry Cribb, Bill McCloud and James Moore, officiating.
Interment will be in Macedonia Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday evening. Arrangements by Fraser Funeral Home, Macclenny.
