She would have had a great life, and it is sad to see her gone so young because of a random sneeze.

On 26th December 1983, I recorded "St.Ursula's in Danger" from TV onto VHS. Throughout the 1980s it was part of my daughters' childhood. Born in 1980 and 1985, they watched it countless times. When my elder daughter was about to go to boarding school, we watched it to reassure her. We said often what a good actress you were and what a great career you had ahead of you. Just this Sunday, 31st October 2010, my wife and I were having a clear-out and came across that old VHS tape. It was unthinkable to throw away "St. Ursula's", and we decided to see if we could buy it on DVD. In searching the web, we learnt that you had died, so young, in 1984.This came as a great shock and sadness to us. You were so much part of our children's childhood, and we were so sure that your career must have blossomed as you deserved, that it is like learning of the loss of a lifelong friend. No words can express our sadness and sympathy. Let me just say: thank you for being part of my children's growing up.

Saw her episodes of Tripods yesterday with a mate. What a great beauty and poise she displayed. Of course being from a noble family she was the perfect cast to play the daughter of the Compte de Ricordeau.BTW. She died shortly before her 19th birthday, not her 20th (b. 9 October 1965, d. 6 October 1984).

I just saw her in "The Tripods" and was very sad to learn of her untimely death. It's a great loss. I hope that people will enjoy her acting years into the future.

They say that life is fleetingI know that this is trueI left this world so quicklyWith no goodbye to you.I know how much you miss meYour tears fall ever lightThe pillow where you lay your headIs wet with them at night.I know your heart is hurtingThe words we left, unsaidI love you's left unspokenAre spinning in your head. The strength that I have carriedThat served to make you wholeRemains to make you strongerWithin your grieving soul. For you see, while you were weepingOn the day I passed awayAt the gravesite near the flowersWhere my loved ones knelt to pray.An angel came to see meShe took me by the handShe led me to a kingdomIn a very distant land.As I look down from the heavenAnd see you standing thereYour heart so ever burdenedWith more weight than it can bear.I long to bring you comfortI long to give you peaceI long to hold you closelyCause all your tears to cease. The joy I've found in heavenGoes far beyond compareThe love that's so elusiveCan be found here everywhere. The light is softly shiningThere's no storm clouds here or rainThere's no teardrops found in heavenThere's no suffering, there's no pain. You needn't be so troubledStay close to God and prayThat someday we'll be togetherOne bright and glorious day.So my love, you shouldn't questionMy dear you need not cryI've gone to be with JesusI really didn't die.

For a young English rose. I love you, Charlotte. RIP with God always.

Rest in peace. A generation of young Australian children who grew up with Tripods were shocked at your passing. Alan Clark was right: You are "beautiful and timeless" forever caught on celluloid as a distinct English beauty. I was a kid when I watched you and now I am well passed my teen years and you are forever the adolescent, almost like a little sister. I never knew you but my sincere condolences to your family. May you rest in God's all-embracing love, Charlotte. Your fan, David
