Springfield Woman Dies at Home of Daughter in Pana

Pana, April 6 - Mrs. Nancy Brewer, wife of George Brewer of Springfield, Ill., died at 1:40 o'clock, Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edward Chaney, 910 East Second street, following a protracted illness with a complication of troubles, including asthma.

Mrs. Brewer was well known in Pana, where she had resided with her daughter the past year and had previously passed months at a time. She was a most estimable woman. She was a native of Tennessee and was born July 12, 1844, being 75 years, 8 months and 22 days of age at the time of her death. She was the daughter of James Marshall and Martha Whittson-Marshall, deceased, and had made her home in the state of Illinois for over sixty-fur years.

Deceased is survived by her husband, three daughters, Mrs. Lizzie Condo of Moccasin, Ill.; Mrs. Edward [Carrie] Chaney of Pana, and Mrs. Mary Smith of Sims, Ill., and one son, William Brewer of Vernon, Ill.

The body was shipped by funeral director R.L. Fairbanks to Vernon, Ill., this morning at 9:40 o'clock, where the funeral services will be held and interment made Tuesday afternoon.
