R. Jan Varner, 40, of Parkersburg, died Nov. 15, 1999, at her residence.


She was born in Wood County, a daughter of Charles and Delores Cheuvront Sims, of Parkersburg. She attended Parkersburg South High School. She was formerly employed by Dudley's Florist and Parkersburg Floral, where she was a designer, and currently as decorator at Fenton Art Glass. She had attended Bethel Baptist Church.


Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Stacy and Jamey Hull of Parkersburg; one grandson, Tyler Hull of Parkersburg; one sister and brother-in-law, Joy and Rick States of Waverly; one niece, Lindsey States of Waverly; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.


She was preceded in death by one niece, Renee States


Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Parkersburg, Pastor Randy Kochersperger officiating. Burial in Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Wednesday.
