Born Tuesday, Feb. 15, 1927, in Stearns, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Sadie Stephens Swain. She was the widow of Robert Earl Gordon . She loved gardening, cooking and her grandchildren. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church.
Survivors include three sons, Steve (Patty) Gordon of Stanton, Mike (Sue) Gordon of Danville and Jerry (Sharon) Gordon of Poca, W.Va.; a daughter, Cathy (Eddie) Flinchum of Winchester; a sister, Doris Yeltsin of Jefferson City, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Services are 2:30 p.m. today, March 2, 2008, at Gethsemane Baptist Church with Bro. Mark Peyton and Bro. Steve James officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gethsemane Baptist Church, Heritage Hospice, Alzheimer's Association or Gideons International.
