Plan Services Here For Mrs Oliphant
Mrs Katherine A Oliphant, 64, widow of Chester A Oliphant and a resident of Greensburg most of her life, died late Monday night at Dallas, Tex., where she had been residing with relatives the past year.
She had been in failing health for some time, suffering from diabetes and a heart condition.
Mrs Oliphant, the daughter of Lewis Blaine and Lydia LeMasters Ham, had been residing here with a son, Thomas Oliphant, at 417 North Anderson Street, until going to Texas to stay with the family of another son, Lewis Oliphant, who is serving with the U.S. Army in Korea.
She was united in marriage with Chester A. Oliphant at St Paul Sept 19, 1925. Her husband preceded her in death Dec 31, 1957.
Surviving children, besides the son here and the one in Korea, are: another son, David Oliphant, Carlisle, Pa.; and four daughters, Mrs Marvin (Peggy) McGuffin, Louisville, Ky., Mrs Paul (Cynthia) Tuttle, Holland, Mich., and Mrs Thomas (Judith) Moore and Jennifer Oliphant, both of Indianapolis.
Several grandchildren also survive.
She was preceded in death by two children, John Ray and Nancy Ellen, who died in infancy.
Funeral arrangements are pending at the Oliger-Pearson Funeral Home
