Christopher Bruce Wakefield, Sr., 49, third generation resident (both sides) of Park Point, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2008 at Oregon Creek, RSI . He was born Oct. 28, 1958 to Barbara Jean (O'Donnell) and Milton Lee Busson Wakefield. Bruce attended Central High School. He loved the Navy where he served as a medic. Bruce had worked as a surgical technician at St. Luke's Hospital. He enjoyed golf, scuba diving, and pool. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his daughter, Crystal (Travis) Jonns of Superior; his son, Chris, Jr. of Trego, Wis.; his brothers, David and Stephen (Carol), both of Duluth; his sisters, Pamela (Tom) Eden of Duluth, and Candice (Larry) Davis of Charleston, S.C,; his step-mother, Carol Wakefield of Duluth; and his former wife, Sharon Sundberg of Trego, Wis.; and many nieces and nephews. SERVICES:11 a.m. Thursday in Anchor Point Community Church, Strand Rd. and Washburn Rd. Military Honors will be accorded by the Duluth Combined Honor Guard. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorials are preferred. Arrangements by Dougherty Funeral Home, 727-3555
