Johnie E. Oldner, 82, of Grapevine, died Saturday, January 19, 2008 in Benton.

He was born November 16, 1925, in Bearden to the late Thomas Willie and Nellie Grace (Vaughan) Oldner.

He was a World War II Veteran serving with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific; a Missionary Baptist Minister and a truck driver with ALCOA. He was member of Bethany #1 in Grapevine where he was a minister during his first pastorate.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, S. Juanita Smith Oldner, one son-in-law, Roy Wayne Davis, a step-son, Ronnie Nickells and one sister Mary Nell Oldner.

Survivors include his wife, Elois Oldner of Grapevine; three daughters, Gloria Oldner, Vivian Sheridan and husband, Gary, and Kathy Davis all of Benton; one son, Wayne Oldner of Benton; a step-daughter, Donna Fisher; a step-son, Carl Morris both of Grapevine; a granddaughter, Melissa Farmer and husband, Rocky of Benton; a grandson, Brian Sheridan and wife, Christel of Lexington, SC; step-grandson, Scott Fisher and wife, Leslie of Grapevine; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Dorothy Caldwell of Camden; and a half-sister, Annie Mae Raines and husband, James Ray of North Little Rock.

Funeral services were at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander.
