Professional Wrestler. A native of Verdun, Quebec, he began wrestling in 1932. In 1935, he made a name for himself when he suddenly attacked AWA Heavyweight champion Danno O'Mahoney and a year later, defeated him to win the championship belt. In 1942, he reached the peak of his career when he won the NWA World Heavyweight championship, holding the title for only one month. Earning the reputation of being Quebec's top wrestler of his time, he would also win several other titles over his career including the Montreal International Championship 16 times and the Canadian Tag Team Championship with his rival, Whipper Billy Watson, as his partner. Robert retired from the ring due to medical reasons in 1959.
