STAMBAUGH-Funeral services for Mrs. Leo Beck, 27, formerly Elsie Wickman of Stambaugh township, will be held Thursday afternoon. She died in her sleep at Chicago early Sunday morning.
She was found dead by her husband when he returned from his duty as a night patrolman in Berwyn, a Chicago suburb. They have one child Richard, aged three.
The body will arrive from Chicago tomorrow morning and will lie in state at the Stambaugh Funeral home until the time of services. The rites will be held at 1:45 from the funeral home and 2 o’clock at the Mission Covenant church with the Rev. Daniel Bloomdahl officiating. Interment will be in the Stambaugh cemetery.
Mrs. Beck attended the Stambaugh schools and was employed at Kemp’s confectionary on Washington avenue for several years.
Surviving her are her husband and son, parents Mr. and Mrs. John Wickman who live southwest of the Hiawatha location, two sisters, Mrs. William Young, Stambaugh, and Audrey, who lives at home, and a brother Leonard of Stambaugh.
