BOWMAN DIES OF AUTO INJURIES
William Charlie Bowman, 63 years of age, who was struck by a hit and run automobile on the 1800 block of Broad Street several days ago, died at a local infirmary yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock from his injuries.
The driver of the automobile that struck Mr Bowman has not been apprehended, although officers have made a vigorous search for him.
Funeral services for Mr Bowman will be held from St Luke Methodist Church this afternoon at 4 o'clock. Interment will be in West View cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Uley Tudor, John Chavous, L B Lane, S A Weathers, H T Hornsby and O C Easler.
Mr Bowman is survived by his wife, Mrs Savilla Padgett Bowman of Augusta, a daughter, Mrs Daniel A Kinard of Barnwell, SC, eight grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
