Born in Buffalo, New York, on October 18, 1937, she was a daughter of the late John E. and Dema (Martindale) Raloff. Mrs. Kress was raised in Orchard Park, New York, and was a graduate of Orchard Park High School. Following her marriage, she had lived in Pittsburgh, PA, for ten years prior to settling in Medfield. She moved to Millis in 1985.
Mrs. Kress had been employed with Leonard Morse Hospital as an Outpatient Registrant for twenty-seven years at the time of her retirement. She enjoyed summers on Cape Cod, time with family and friends and her dog, Morgan.
She leaves with pride and unconditional love two sons, Timothy Kress and wife Deidre of Franklin and Peter Kress and wife Karen of Bellingham, and her daughter, Jennifer Works and husband Peter of Millis, her six beloved grandchildren, Jacob, Avery and Lauren Kress and James, John and Julia Works, and her confidante and treasured friend, Kathie Boffa of Holliston, and her family, with love and gratitude. She is additionally survived by her former husband, Gerry Kress and his wife Gloria of Dallas, TX, his siblings Melvin, Kenneth and Shirley, her sister, Mary Ann Farr, and cousins Audrey Robinson and Donna DeGroat, all of Buffalo, NY. She also leaves friends, patients and medical staff from her years employed at Leonard Morse Hospital.
