W.J. Irvin Cave was a Confederate soldier. He died at his home near Stanley on Tuesday after an illness of several months due primarily to old age.
He was a member of the Episcopal church for the last few years.
He is survived by the following children:
D.M.Cave of Pottsville, PA, Ferd of Page, VA and Hunter and ED of Delaware, Frank of Philadelphia, PA, Mrs. Flora Offenbaccker and Mrs. Sally Gray of West Virginia, Mrs. Betty Seal of Furnace, VA and Miss Annie Cave of Marksville.
The funeral services were held from his late home at 11 A.M. on Thursday. Interment took place at the nearby cemetery. Services were conducted by elder A.W. Campbell
