HOMER A. RAY, 84, of Fort Wayne, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2007, at Parkview Hospital. Born Dec. 2, 1922, in Terre Haute, he was a member of Blackhawk Church. He served in the Army, in Field Artillery, during World War II, in the Pacific Theater. He retired from General Electric. Surviving are his wife, Barbara; daughter, Betsy (Mike) Stevens of Fort Wayne; sons, Jim (Jean) Ray in Atlanta, Ga. and Brian (Shari) Ray of Traverse City, Mich.; grandchildren, Jennifer Moser, Amy Kessler, Michelle Seaborn, Krista, Meagan, Lindsay, and Brian N. Ray; and great-grandchildren, Noah and River Ray Kessler. Funeral service is 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Road, with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Preferred memorials to Blackhawk Church Building Fund.
