Julia Marie "Ree" Billings, 69, of Memphis, died Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the Golden Living Center. She was a member of the former Knight Arnold Church of Christ. Mrs. Billings is survived by her daughter, Angie Young and her husband John of Memphis; two grandchildren, Ellis Nichols and Taylor Young; her sister, Jean Murphy of Memphis and two brothers, Jack Billings of Bartlett and Buster Billings of Monett, MO. She was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Pepin and a brother, Sonny Billings. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Monday, November 19, at Forest Hill Funeral Home East. Though she was never married, Marie had a significant relationship with Guy McHand which lasted for more than 50 years. They had one child together. She and her sister Edna co-owned a home together for about 35 years before going their separate ways. Marie worked for the same company all of her life beginning as a waitress at Frostop in Memphis and worked her way up to office manager of Good Foods Inc.
