He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Carter Thomas Lanehart; four daughters, Lillian Mitchell, of Houston, Bertha and husband John Capsley, of Bay Springs, Miss., Patricia and husband Curtis Stewart, of Baton Rouge, and Mary Loy and husband Donald Jenkins, of Plaquemine; five sons, David and wife Delana Lanehart, of Texas, Lionel and wife Yvonne Lanehart, Charles and wife Vanessa Lanehart, Albert and wife Verta Bell, all of Baton Rouge, and Percy Lanehart, of Jackson; two sisters, Emily Hartford, of Lettsworth, and Roseanna Shaufers, of Baton Rouge; 32 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren; and special friends, Joe Randle, Cal Johnson, Emanuel Bynum and Patricia Ann Paul.
He was preceded in death by his mother, father, two sons, three daughters and grandsons.
