Carol Ann (Donohoe) Joki, 57, of Peoria, AZ passed away on October 19,
2007. Born in Coeur d'Alene, ID on February 20, 1950. Graduate of Kootenai High School in 1967, and of Northern Idaho Junior College in 1971. Married to Glenn Joki on May 20, 1970 in Coeur d'Alene. Carol was a member of Celebration Lutheran Church in Peoria since its start in 1987 and was active in the Lutheran Cursillo movement of AZ. Her door was always open to anyone, and her love and devotion to her family and friends was endless. Carol had an unwavering faith and love for God, which filled her life with joy and gave her strength. She fought a valiant battle with cancer, and her positive attitude and concern for her family will always be remembered. Carol is survived by her two brothers, Larry Donohoe and Russell Donohoe of Medimont, ID, and her sister Patsy DiLuciano of Amston, CT; her husband Glenn, and their children; Carissa Joki of Phoenix, Dustin and Alexa Joki of Peoria, and Ryan and his wife Nina of Phoenix. The viewing will be held Thursday, Oct. 25, at the Best Funeral Home in Peoria from 5-8pm. The funeral will be held Friday, Oct. 26 at 10am at Celebration Lutheran Church in Peoria. Interment will be at the Arrowhead Memorial Gardens and Funeral Center at Joy in Glendale. There will be a celebration of her life on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church in Sun City at 11am. This will be a potluck, and a time for remembering the joys Carol brought to our lives. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hospice of the Valley or to the memorial fund in her honor at Celebration Lutheran Church.
