Singer. "LaLa" was the youngest of five children. Her parents knew LaLa was gifted from her first steps. It was as if she was stepping onto a stage. She was always singing and dancing around the house, her family were her biggest fans, but LaLa's talents were not held under one roof, she wanted to share her talent with the world. It was no surprise when she wanted to pursue a music career at the age of eleven. LaLa attended Fredrick Douglas Elementary School, Jackie Robinson Middle School and West Division High School. Even before she was able to attend school, LaLa was a mascot cheerleader at Custer High School. No matter where she went her uniqueness and style stood out among others in her age group. She always stayed positive, kept a song in her heart, and stayed focused on her goals. If there was a stage big or small, LaLa knew how to energize a crowd. She was destined to be a Star. She finally stepped onto national stage, when she recorded the number one song "S.E.X" with Lyfe Jennings, but one of her greatest moments was when she came back to Milwaukee and performed in front of 15,000 last year at the Jam for Peace concert. LaLa brought a sense of pride, happiness, joy, love, and understanding to the world of music listeners. Although LaLa is no longer with us, her spirit and memories will continue to live through those she has left behind, especially her beautiful 5-year-old daughter Amirrah Airreal Brown.
