Freedom in America isn't really free; we often pay a price to keep our liberty. Remember those we loved, who fought for us, and died; and those we never knew For whom others mourned and cried. With Love your 6th Great Grandniece,

Renney Belue is my 5th Great Grandfather. His oldest child, Zachariah Belew, is my family line. Since there are no documented records of their burials, Ann Montanari placed these Military markers memorials for RenneyBelue (birth year not known) and his son Reuben Belue (born ca.1760) in the Fairforest Baptist Cemetery around the year 2000. In 1826, Zachariah deeded to Union County one acre of land near his house for a burial ground. It is strongly felt this is Renney and possibly Reuben's, final resting place. Renney's first wife, and the mother of his children, has not been documented yet. The Ann or Nancy Ann was his second wife. Renney was a much respected person in Union County and for his service in the South Carolina Militia during the Revolutionary War. I am very proud to be a descendent of Renney Belue.
