From: [email protected]

I have posted a photo of Katie Baber and her
half sister Cynthia Henline (Lindley) with
original writing on the back. This lists
her birth date as well as the names of her
parents and Cynthia's parents. They have
the same mother, different father. Katie's
father died from typhoid a month before
Katie was born. You can use information
from the back of the photo to update her
page. I am not a family member. I am just
a genealogy enthusiast who purchased the
photo at an antique shop because of the
writing it had on the back and began
researching her name so I could get it
back to her family.

I have no proof yet, but it appears that
Katie may have had some disability because
she never married and remained with her
mother until her mother passed away. When
Katie was 51 in 1940, still living with her
mother, she was listed in an addendum at the
bottom as never having a social security
number or a job. This is why I speculate she
may have had a disability. She has more
siblings as well, but it's late and I don't
have time to post those right now. Hopefully
she will find a place on her family tree now.

I received an e-mail from a family member of Katie Baber. Katie did not have a disability. She was a spinster and did not have children. This family member stated:

"she lived her life alone and then with family helping. She lived for awhile with her older brother Ernest Horace Baber...The Albert Baber line lives in California although all of his siblings remained in Kansas and Oklahoma."

"Katie's mother as a young widow participated in the Cherokee Strip Land Run in Oklahoma and that is how they settled in OK." Wanted to be sure and correct my assumption about her possibly being disabled. She was not.
