Nelson Gazette, Thursday, May 31, 1962
Mrs. C.D. Doher spent last weekend in Lexington when called there by the death Friday evening of her mother, Mrs. C.J. Batie. Mrs. Batie, 85 years of age, had been ill since suffering a stroke five years ago. She was the mother of seven children, all of whom survive her.
Mr. Doher, Stanley, Bob, Connie, Luann and Sidney drove to Lexington Monday to be present for the funeral services which were conducted that afternoon at the Methodist Church. Stanley had arrived home on Sunday from Luke A.F.B. at Phoenix, Ariz., and, as one of the grandsons, served as pallbearer. He will return to Phoenix after spending a few days at home with his parents.
