JAMES E. MURPHY, 65, of Bartlett, TN, died at his home Friday, June 22, 2007. He was self-employed in insurance sales and an old car collector. Mr. Murphy was a member of Ellendale Baptist Church, the Thunderbird and Studabaker Club and was involved with the Lighthouse Mission. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Clara Murphy; his daughter and son, Tina Caronna of Cordova and Scott Murphy of Bartlett. Mr. Murphy is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Pauline Johnson of Memphis, T.W. Murphy of Byhalia, MS, Calvin Murphy of Olive Branch, Joanne Gitter of Independence, MS, Judy Laughter of Byhalia, MS; three grandchildren, Christina and Amanda Starnes and Todd Gray; one great-grandchild, Nathan Vasser. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m., Sunday, June 24, at Forest Hill Funeral Home East. Services will be at 10 a.m., Monday at Ellendale Baptist Church with entombment to follow.
