She was born June 4, 1925 in Van Zandt County to Jack and Vera Belle Ward Thompson. She attended Enchanted Lakes Church of God. She grew up in Van Zandt County and married Clyde Brummett in 1942. She was a resident of Sunnyvale, later moving to Lindale.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Glenda Riedner; and brothers, Herman Racine Thompson, Thomas Thompson, and Jack Edward Thompson.
Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Clarance Earl Brummett, Lindale, and Clyde and Marilyn Brummett, Wolfe City; daughter and sons-in-law, Beverly and Roger Spicer, Quinlan, and Barry Riedner, Mesquite; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and sisters, May Nell Lindsey, Mesquite, Dora Helen Pike, Ardmore, Okla., and Shirley Marie Patterson, Forney.
