They had eight known children: Sarah; Jane who married Moses Seale; Elizabeth who married Meredith Bonds; William; Andrew who married Eunicy Day and Mary Ann McGehee; Margaret who married Rowland Wilkinson; Elijah Cain who married Mary Knox; and Nancy who married Wright Seale.
John and family moved to Hancock Co, GA and then to Amite Co, MS near Zion Hill in 1807. They settled on the west prong of the Amite River, about 6 miles north of Liberty near where the Gloster Rd intersects the Liberty-Natchez Rd.

In Sep 2010, a FAG volunteer searched the cemetery and couldn't find his grave.
