Donald L. Harper, 65, of Quaker City, formerly of Cambridge, died Saturday (Oct. 15,2005) at his home.
He was born May 7, 1940, in Guernsey County, son of the late Howard Harper and Hazel (Mills) Harper.
Mr. Harper was a retired tow motor operator for Express Packaging, Newcomerstown.
He was a 1958 graduate of Cambridge High School and a U.S. Army veteran, having served in Vietnam.
He was a member of Eagles Aerie 386, Cambridge.
He was preceded in death by a brother, William Harper; and a step-son, Larry Whetstone.
He leaves his wife, Gladys (Wolfe) Harper, whom he married Oct. 11, 1974; three sons, Michael McKinney, Roger (Alisha) Harper and Scott Harper, all of Cambridge; two step-sons, Harry (Paula) McClements and Rick McClements, both of Statesville, N.C.; a daughter, Traci Harper (Ray) Touvell of Byesville; two step-daughters, Cathy (Jim) Nixon of Byesville and Shari (Dan) Ivey of Cambridge; and 12 grandchildren.
Pastor Carl Cutlip officiated.
Military graveside services were conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council
