She was born Jan. 20, 1921 in Georgia, Vt., the daughter of Ralph A. and Alice (Kibbey) Williams. She attended schools in Georgia and graduated from Bellows Free Academy in St. Albans, Vt., Class of 1939.
Hazel married Gerald A. Bolio on June 8, 1952, at the Georgia Plain Baptist Church. He predeceased her on Sept. 4, 1976.
She was employed in Springfield at Fellows Gear Shaper Co., W.T. Grant, Springfield High School cafeteria and S.R. Youngs. Hazel was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Springfield for over 40 years serving as Sunday School Teacher and Deaconess.
Survivors include two sons, Gerald A. Bolio of Nashua, N.H. and Ronald E. Bolio of Springfield, Vt.; her sisters, Stella Quilliam of St. Albans and Julia Constantine of Georgia; brother-in-law, Clifford Howe of Milton; cousins, David Kibbey of Newport, N.H. and Alice (Kibbey) Hansen of Carlisle, Iowa; and by a loving family of nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, Hazel was predeceased by her sisters, Edith Williams, Lillian Tarbox and Mary Howe; and also by her brother, Franklyn Tarbox.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 12, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Springfield, officiated by interim Pastor Donald Maughn, and retired former Pastor Gordon Bourne.
Burial will take place in the Georgia Plains Cemetery, in Georgia, Vt. at a later date.
Friends may call at the Davis Memorial Chapel in Springfield on Sunday afternoon from 2 to 5 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in memory of Hazel be made to the Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice of Vermont & New Hampshire, 46 South Main St., White River Jct., Vt. 05001.
