Ann, I am so excited to learn about your resting place. When I was a little girl, I am now 74, my father told me about you being a cousin of my great grandfather, Mike Rutledge. In my adult life, I have searched for you to try to get the connections. Maybe now I can find the whole story.

I am Anne Rutledge who sleeps beneath these weeds, Beloved in life of Abraham Lincoln...Wedded to him, not through union, But through separation. Bloom forever, O Republic, From the dust of my bosom!
