Tremonton, Box Elder County - Jed Rich Abbott, 65, 417 N. 2nd East, died Monday, Aug. 18, 1975, at home of heart failure.

Mr. Abbott was born Feb. 22, 1910, Elwood, to George and Mabel Viola Waldron Abbott.

He was reared and educated in Tremonton, graduated from Bear River high School and attended Utah State University.

He married Doris Blanche Leatham Crossman Sept. 10, 1941 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

He was a World War II Army veteran, and worked as a farmer. He was a partner in Germer, Abbott and Waldron road Construction Co., Tremonton.

He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and the Logan BPO Elks and was past president of the Junior Chamber of Commerce in Tremonton

He was an Elder in the Tremonton 4th LDS Ward and filled mission to Germany. He had served as a member of the Sunday School superintendency and was a Sunday School teacher, scoutmaster and home teacher.

Surviving are his widow of Tremonton and one son and one daughter, Jed R. Abbott, Tremonton; Mrs Dianne Edwards, Hyrum; four grandchildren; one brother and two sisters, Dr. Joseph Thomas Abbott, Cottage Grove, Ore.; Mrs. Kleon (Katherine) Kery, Tremonton.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 12 noon in the Tremonton Stake Center.

Friends may call at Rogers Mortuary in Tremonton Wednesday 7-9 p.m. and Thursday l0-11:30 a.m. Burial in the Riverview Cemetery.
