Staff Sgt. Ronnie L. Sanders of Thibodaux, Louisiana graduated from Woodlawn High School in 1999 and joined the Army soon after. He was the model paratrooper and leader. He was revered and trusted by his soldiers and made sure they were always trained and ready. His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and several other medals for his outstanding work. He was preceded in death by his father Ronnie L. Harris; two aunts Helen S. Hankins and Kathy Nash and two grandfathers, U.S. Sanders and H.B. Harris. Ronnie had made Fayetteville, North Carolina his residence with his wife and twin girls. He was 26.
