A motorcyclist is dead after losing control of his cycle and striking a parked car Sunday afternoon. Killed in the accident at 4 p.m. Sunday was Antonio Alexander Earthman. According to police reports, Earthman was travling north on Maplewood St. when he lost control of his motorcycle, the bike crossed over onto the southbound lane and struck a parked car head-on. That collision caused Earthman, who was not wearing a protective helmet (Ky law, you don't have to wear one) to be thrown from the motorcycle. Christian County Coroner Dorris Lamb pronounnced Earthman dead at the scene. Lamb said death was instantanous and was the result of a closed head injury, or a skull fracture.

Services for Antonio Alexander Earthman, 36, will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cedar Grove Baptist Church with thr Rev. George Estes officiating. He died at 2:05 p.m. Sunday, August 24, 2003, of injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident on Maplewood St.

A native if Indianapolis, In., he was born Feb.16, 1967 the son of Earl Thomas and Ann Dansby Earthman, Hopkinsville.

He worked for Holder Roofing Co. and was a member of the World of Faith Church, Madisonville. He also attended Christian County High School, Class of 86'.

In addition to his parents, survivors include, three sons. Michael Olguim, Washington State; Justin Hicks and Peyton Level, bothe of Hopkinsville; three daughters, Chelsea Hyslop, Washington; Kryslin Gray and Nakesha Meeiweather, both of Hopkinsville; four brothers, Stanley Earthman, Louisville; Randy Earthman, Hopkinsville; Earl Earthman Jr. and Marcus Earthman, both of Nashville, Tenn, and two sisters Wanda and Towana Earthman, both of Hopkinsville, and a grandmother Beatrice Dowlen, Pembroke.
