Mary Jane Crozier was born to Christopher Crozier and Elizabeth Walker Crozier, in Bourneville, Ohio.

She married Jacob Bruce on November 16, 1843, in Bourneville. They moved to Knoxville, Iowa, and started farming.

Together, Mary Jane and Jacob had eleven children; Minerva Jane, Harvey Shepherd (my GG Grandfather), George W., Eliza Ellen, Jeraldine Henrietta, Elizabeth Rosetta, Mary Louise, Sarah Marceline and Nancy Delasine ( who were twins), James McClellan, and Martha M.

Mary passed away at 72 years old, and was interred in Greenwood Cemetery, in Knoxville, Iowa.
