OBITUARY
DANIEL BEEBE IS TAKEN
Well Known Citizen of This Community for Many Years Died at His Home on East Elm street on Thursday Evening.
Daniel Beebe, for many years a well known resident of Sycamore and vicinity, died at his home, 30 East Elm street, in this city on Thursday evening at about 6:30 o'clock. He had been confined to his bed for about ten weeks suffering from diabetes which developed gangrene.
Daniel Beebe was born in Naperville, Ill., on Sept. 18, 1838. He was married to Martha Minerva Haskins, daughter of the late Horace Haskins.
They were engaged in farming near Naperville and later for many years in Charter Grove, northeast of Sycamore. They removed to this city ten years ago.
Mrs. Beebe survives with four of their six children. The children surviving are Mrs. Charles Welch of Charter Grove; Willard Beebe of Sycamore, Mrs. John Babbler of Colvin Park, HI., and Mrs. Arthur Powell of Sycamore. He also leaves surviving two sisters and two brothers: Henry Beebe of Sycamore, Selva Beebe of Ellsworth, Kan., Mrs. Robert Varty of Sycamore and Mrs. Evelyn Hunt of Sycamore.
The funeral services will be held at the Baptist church at 1:30 o'clock on Sunday. The interment will be in Charter Grove cemetery.
