She was born in Colorado Springs to James and Estella Manning.
She has lived in the Orland area since 1966. She attended High School in Ogden, Utah and got her Associate Degree at Butte College. Margaret married George Archer Sr. Dec. 12, 1948, he preceded her in death. Margaret was a homemaker and with her husband ran a dairy before retiring. She was active at one time in Glenn Co. 4-H and a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She loved to sew and travel.
She is survived by her children, George E. Jr. of Flournoy, CA, Paul J. of Orland, CA and Wendy Pacheco of Conroe, TX, 6 grandchildren and also a sister, Madeliane Gamble, three brothers, Don, Bill and Dan Manning.
Memorial mass was held at St. Dominic's Catholic Church in Orland.
