Life Spanned 98 Years - Died in Watertown - Funeral and Burial in Redfield
Redfield.- Aug. 9., The remains of Mrs. Nancy Callaghan were brought here for burial from Watertown Monday. Mrs. Callaghan has been a life long resident of this place, coming here from New York when a young lady. She had reached the ripe old age of ninety-eight and for the last few years has been with her daughter, Mrs. Thomas Barnett in Watertown, who has tenderly cared for her in her declining years. Her funeral was held here in the Episcopal church of which she was a faithful member. She was laid beside her two husband in Myrtle cemetery. Rev. Gales, former pastor of this place, officiated. The flowers were beautiful and may relatives were here from Utica and other places. Four nephews were bearers.

WIDOW OF PATRICK CALLAGHAN DIED LATE FRIDAY AFTERNOON.
Prayers for Mrs. Nancy McCaw Callaghan, widow of Patrick Callaghan, who died late Friday afternoon at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Barnett, 607 West Prospect street, following a long illness, aged 93 years, one month, and 23 days, will be held Sunday evening at 6:30 at the Barnett residence. Rev. James H. Keeling, pastor of Faith Chapel, will officiate. Interment will be in the family plot in the Redfield cemetery, where the remains will be taken Monday morning in the W.R. Box motor hearse, the funeral being held at 10 a.m. old time, from Redfield Episcopal church.
Mrs. Callaghan was born in County Antrum. Ireland, July 12. 1828, daughter of the late William and Mary Lawson McCaw, and spent her early life there. She came to the United States 75 years ago and had since resided here, making her home at Redfield, Oswego county, until nine years ago when she came to this city to live, she had lived at Redfield.
She sustained a stroke nine years ago which resulted in paralysis of her limbs and during the past nine years she had been unable to walk. Her condition had been critical during tbe past several weeks. She was married twice, her first husband, James Glaas, passing away more than 60 years ago, and her second husband, Patrick Callaghan, dying
about 46 years ago. She had been a communicant for many years of the Redfield Episcopal church.
Surviving are three children, Mrs. Mary Barnett, of 607 West Prospect street at whose residence she passed away, Miss Liza Glass and Charles Callaghan, all of this city. Three grandchildren. Mrs. Cora Winn, William Callaghan and Howard Callaghan, all of Utica, also survive.
