NIANTIC - Bessie Ann Adams Everman, 84, of Niantic died 2 p.m. Monday (Aug. 16, 1999) in
Kirby Hospital, Monticello.

Mrs. Everman was born in Illiopolis on Aug. 8, 1915, the daughter of John and Harriet
Salisbury Shartzer. She married Charles Adams in Decatur in 1935. He preceded her in
death on Feb. 18, 1957. She married Kenneth Everman in Decatur on April 17, 1971. He
preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1979.

Surviving are her sister, Harriet Barrenger of Illiopolis; daughters, Mrs. Max (Harriet)
Carey of Illiopolis; Mrs. Clarence (Grace) Christopher of Edinburg; Mrs. Richard (Mamie)
Stone of Mechanicsburg; Mrs. Gene (Shirley) Daily of Hammond; son, Joseph Adams of
Niantic; 36 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, sons Benjamin, Frederick, Arthur and
Charles Adams, grandchildren Mark Carey and Nick Adams and 14 brothers and sisters.

Salisbury Shartzer. She married Charles Adams in Decatur in 1935. He preceded her in
