The Daily Herald, Biloxi, MS - 3 Sep 1963 William B. Alexander, 62, of Orange Grove, Harrison County, died shortly before 8 o'clock Monday night at Memorial Hospital in Gulfport. He had been hospitalized about one week. Mr. Alexander was a self-employed carpenter. He was born Oct. 26, 1900 in Pearl River County but had been a life-long resident of the Coast. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Thelma Bass Alexander; four sons, Arthur Alexander of Fort Sill, Okla., Frank E., Charles L. and Jerry S. Alexander of Orange Grove; two daughters, Mesdames Rose Ann Snyder of Gulfport and Connie Snyder of Orange Grove; three brothers Salvadore, Lee and Gravis Alexander of Long Beach; two sisters, Mesdames Dock Woodcock and Rube Salters of Long Beach; and four grandchildren. The funeral service will be held 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the Long Beach Riemann Funeral Home chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Winnie McMahon, pastor of Little Zion Baptist Church of Long Beach. Interment will be at Allen Memetery in Long Beach. Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 o'clock tonight.
