UNION - Mary Sue Moffitt Chrisawn, 73, of 644 Bailey Road, died July 14, 2002 at her home.

A native of Pleasant Garden, N.C., she was the daughter of the late John and Lola Fleming Moffitt.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Union and a former member of the Old Fort Presbyterian Church of Old Fort, N.C. and was a member of the Ninety-Nine Club Association of Women Pilots. She was a retired accountant and was former owner of H&R Block of Union.

Surviving are her husband, Clarence E. Chrisawn of the home; one daughter, Bettina Thornton of McMinnville, Tenn.; one son, Michael Chrisawn of McMinnville, Tenn.; one brother, Harold Moffitt of Richmond, Va.; and seven grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 tonight at Holcombe Funeral Home and Tuesday immediately following the graveside services. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at McDowell Memorial Gardens, Marion, N.C.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Organ Fund of First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 672, Union, S.C. 29379; or to Interim Hospice, 775 Spartan Blvd., Suite 101, Spartanburg, S.C. 29301.

The S.R. Holcombe Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
