Chloe Ann Jenkins was born to Judith(a) Augustus and William W. Jenkins Sept 1, 1892. She was the youngest of five children. She married Riley Jackson Vaughn July 17, 1910. They had nine children; Richard, Virginia, Gene, William, Robert, Nila, Floyd, Lola Mae & David.

When I asked my my Aunt the correct spelling, she told me they spelled it different ways, she never knew the correct way. When I asked my dad how his mom spelled her name he said just any way, they weren't sure of the spelling. But since grandma was named after her grandmother, Chloe Ann Redman, I suspect it was supposed to be spelled the same way.

I am convinced the records where her name is misspelled as CLOE was given by my grandfather, who didn't know how to spell her name. Her parents spelled her name Chloe Ann-see the 1900 census record. Her name is even misspelled on her gravestone, again that came from grandpa.
